It is believed that had they not been spotted, the men would have died.<\/p>\n<p>Coast Guard rescue swimmer Kyle Stallings said to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sun-sentinel.com\/news\/broward\/fl-coast-guard-rescues-two-at-sea-20130915,0,4073559.story\" target=\"_blank\">The Sun Sentinel<\/a> that the victims were completely waterlogged when found. He said their skin was deteriorating and their eyes were drooping.<\/p>\n<p>The victims&#8217; names were not released on Saturday. They are reportedly 56 and 57 years old.<\/p>\n<p>The freighter that spotted the two stranded men contacted the US Coast Guard. It authorized the launch of an MH-65 rescue helicopter from Air Station Miami, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wptv.com\/dpp\/news\/state\/two-bahamian-citizens-rescued-off-riviera-beach-after-eight-days-drifting-at-sea-on-capsized-boat\" target=\"_blank\">WPTV<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n<p>The rescued men told the officers that they had consumed seawater, which can speed up dehydration, says <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/nation\/nationnow\/la-na-nn-coast-guard-rescue-ocean-florida-20130915,0,7604261.story\" target=\"_blank\">The Los Angeles Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The men were taken to the DelrayMedicalCenter for treatment.
