The president, who damaged cartilage in the knee but won&#8217;t need surgery, was discharged Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Zeman will be recovering at the presidential castle in Lany, just outside Prague. His condition has forced him to cancel planned trips for the next few weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Zeman, a chain smoker with a well-documented soft spot for alcohol, was recently diagnosed with diabetes.
