Their love for one another has never been in doubt, but Angelina Jolie has apparently reinforced the depth of her feelings for Brad Pitt by buying him his very own heart shaped island.<\/p>\n
The actress has reportedly paid \u00a312.2 million for secluded Petra as Brad prepares to celebrate his 50th birthday on December 18.<\/p>\n
Angelina is understood to have snapped up the island, located some 50-miles away from New York City, after discovering its two sprawling properties were designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, Brad\u2019s favourite architect.<\/p>\n
A source told The Mirror: \u2018As soon as Angelina heard the island was on the market she arranged a viewing. She was really impressed. The house is perfect for romantic getaways or as a family retreat.
\n\u2018It\u2019s very private.\u00a0 And Angelina knows the fact the island is in the shape of a heart will mean so much to him.\u2019<\/p>\n
Petra\u2019s original cottage was erected in 1950, while its larger property was built from one of Wright\u2019s blueprints in 2008 \u2013 48-years after his death.<\/p>\n
The finer details of its intricate design will not be lost on architecture fan Brad, who once admitted that Frank Lloyd Wright \u2018changed his life.\u2019<\/p>\n
