{"id":63897,"date":"2014-01-13T16:08:55","date_gmt":"2014-01-13T12:08:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/archive2.ankakh.com\/?p=63897"},"modified":"2014-01-13T16:08:55","modified_gmt":"2014-01-13T12:08:55","slug":"harvard-alumni-club-of-armenia-has-a-new-president","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive2.ankakh.com\/en\/?p=63897","title":{"rendered":"Harvard Alumni Club of Armenia has a new President"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>On December 27th 2013, the Harvard Alumni Club of Armenia has elected Mr. Martin Galstyan as the President of the Club and Ms. Gohar Gyulumyan as the Treasurer for 2014.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Mr. Galstyan will be taking over the duties from Mr. Samson Avetian, the President of the Club in 2013.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The objective of the Harvard Alumni Club of Armenia is to promote graduate education as well as development of a dynamic civil society in Armenia.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Club has instituted a scholarship program for students of Armenian descent accepted to Harvard University, and has been actively involved in organizing seminars and lectures on various topics.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Mr. Galstyan currently serves as the Head of Statistics Department of the Central Bank of Armenia and is a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School (2010). Ms. Gyulumyan is a Senior Economist at the World Bank Yerevan office.
