General Assembly has approved a resolution affirming Ukraine&#8217;s territorial integrity and calling the referendum that led to Russia&#8217;s annexation of its Crimean Peninsula illegal.<\/p>\n<p>The vote Thursday was 100 in favor, 11 opposed and 58 abstentions.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;yes&#8221; vote was higher than many diplomats had predicted, with more than half the 193 members of the General Assembly supporting the Ukrainian sponsored resolution.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike the Security Council, General Assembly resolutions are not subject to vetoes nor are they legally binding but they do reflect world opinion.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/archive2.ankakh.com\/\">\u00a0\u0531\u0576\u056f\u0561\u056d<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; The U.N.
