which came after a goal from Germany&#8217;s Mario Gotze in the 113th minute &#8211; ended what was Argentina&#8217;s best World Cup run for 24 years.<\/p>\n<p>But after the game, fans wearing the Argentina strip turned on each other in scenes of violence.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/archive2.ankakh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Beunos-Aires4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-97503\" alt=\"Beunos Aires4\" src=\"https:\/\/archive2.ankakh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Beunos-Aires4.jpg\" width=\"634\" height=\"415\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive2.ankakh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Beunos-Aires4.jpg 634w, https:\/\/archive2.ankakh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Beunos-Aires4-300x196.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive2.ankakh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Beunos-Aires4-458x300.jpg 458w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 634px) 100vw, 634px\" \/><\/a>Riot police &#8211;
