Police-guarded-the-arena-after-the-blast-franceOfficials say that a technical director of a musical on the French Revolution has died of a heart attack after pyrotechnics under the musical’s stage exploded during a rehearsal.

Agnes Thibault-Lecuivre, a spokeswoman for the Paris prosecutors office, said four other people were in critical condition following Friday’s blast at Paris’ Palais des Sports auditorium.

A police official said Friday the man died of heart attack after the blast. He said early signs indicate that a worker generated a spark that came into contact with pyrotechnics under the stage.

The show’s production company did not immediately respond to an e-mail seeking comment.

The 45-year-old singer said the Titanic theme song will prove to be her legacy on Saturday’s episode of The Jonathan Ross Show.

‘I’m going to die with this song. It’s a good problem to have, when you’re part of a classic and you know that you’re going to die with it,’ the French-Canadian diva told the host.

‘[But] when I die, though, please don’t play the song.’

The romantic best-seller is still Celine’s biggest hit having sold 15 million copies after reaching number 1 all over the world.

Dion was initially reluctant about recording the 1997 ballad – penned by James Horner and Will Jennings – which also went on to score an Oscar and four Grammys

‘I didn’t want to sing My Heart Will Go On…thank God they didn’t listen to me! I didn’t really like the song at first,’ she revealed.
