‘I’m here for you Paris’: Disgraced doctor Conrad Murray’s bizarre offer of support to troubled daughter of Michael Jackson from behind bars

d5Disgraced doctor Conrad Murray – who is currently in jail for the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson – has reached out to troubled teen Paris Jackson to offer his compassion and support.

His audio message to Paris – which he recorded behind bars – comes following the 15-year-old allegedly tried to end her own life on Wednesday by taking a large number of painkillers and slashed her writs with a knife.

He has apparently attempted to contact Paris while she recovers in hospital under a psychiatric order.

According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: ‘Paris, this is a letter to you. I don’t know what you are going through but I am sure whatever it is must be difficult.

‘I can tell you are not doing well and I don’t know if there is anything I can do to solve your pain or help you with your problem.

‘But I wanted you to know that I am here for you. I’ve never been gone. I always will be available to listen to you, answer questions or share with you a plethora or beautiful untold stories of your father, as well as venerable thoughts of you that he shared with me.

‘Paris has been very, very depressed for a while. She’s been throwing fits and tantrums, kicking and screaming and cutting herself,’ a source told People magazine.

‘She misses her father greatly,’ the source adds. ‘She was the center of Michael’s world and it’s all different now. She says that she is lonely and that she doesn’t feel loved.’

Paris has also allegeldy been in arguments with her brother, Prince Michael, after she started growing close to her biological mother, Debbie Rowe, who she was denied to spend much time with when her father was alive.

The developing relationship has apparently created a rift within the Jackson family as Paris and her brother have differing opinions of spending time with their mother.

Google chief calls Internet spying threat to freedoms

2Google-ի տնօրենը համացանցի լրտեսությունն անվանում է ազատությանն ուղղվաGoogle chief Larry Page on Friday branded Internet spying a threat to freedoms and called for governments to be more revealing about what they try to find out about people’s online activities.

“We understand that the US and other governments need to take action to protect their citizens’ safety — including sometimes by using surveillance,” Page said in a blog post.
“But the level of secrecy around the current legal procedures undermines the freedoms we all cherish.”
Page put his personal stamp on the California-based Internet giant’s denial that it opened any doors for US intelligence agencies to mine data from its servers.
Google and other technology firms on Thursday were adamant that they did not knowingly take part in a secret program called PRISM that gave the National Security Agency (NSA) and the FBI back doors into servers at major Internet companies.
“We have not joined any program that would give the US government or any other government direct access to our servers,” Page said.
“Indeed, the US government does not have direct access or a ‘back door’ to the information stored in our data centers,” he continued. “We had not heard of a program called PRISM until yesterday.”

French geographers publish global atlas on sexuality

1Ֆրանսիացի աշխարհագրագետները ստեղծել են սեռական ակտիվության համաշխաWhere are people most unfaithful? Who uses sex toys? On a darker level, where is child rape more prevalent? French geographers have tried to answer these questions and others in a global atlas on sexuality.

“Sexuality is everywhere on our city walls and on our screens, in lighter news or in darker events,” said Nadine Cattan, research director in geography at France’s National Center for Scientific Research.
“We wanted to cover all this worldwide to try and understand it a bit better,” she said, adding the research had lasted 18 months.
The atlas covers multiple areas, such as what it calls a “sexual and amorous transition” happening in Europe, where infidelity is on the rise.
Using data drawn across five European countries from the 1.5 million members of Gleeden — a dating site for married people who want affairs — the atlas pinpoints Paris as the city where most people are unfaithful.
According to the data, more than half of those who cheat on their partners are highly educated, and 22 percent work in finance, banking or insurance. The major reason cited for infidelity is a desire to test their seduction power.
In Greece, Poland and Brazil, some 80 percent of the population think sex is very important, while in Thailand and Japan just 38 percent do, it says.
In Europe, people in Britain, Norway and Sweden are the most avid users of sex toys, citing a report by condom maker Durex, while southern countries including France are not that interested.
It adds that many countries have taken measures to address sexual harassment, such as women-only bus lines in Mexico and similar initiatives in cities in Brazil, Egypt and Japan.

Anti-gay campaigners in Russia tell Elton John: ‘Wear flamboyant clothes at your concert and we’ll protest in the streets’

e4Elton John has been told to lose his flamboyant stage costumes for an upcoming concert in Russia – or face protests by anti-gay campaigners.

The singer, who will play in the southern city of Krasnodar next month, has been told by a communist group that his usual outfits are ‘homosexual propaganda’ that could breach local laws where promoting homosexuality is a criminal offence.

The country’s Communists of Russia party has instead suggested that the 66-year-old performer should wear ‘more respectable’ traditional Cossack clothes for his concert.

Local party leader Mikhail Abramyan recommended that Elton don a knee-length kaftan, knee-high leather boots, and a fur hat for the July 14th gig.

He said: ‘It would be more respectable.  We have suggested it to the promoters and we hope he’ll wear it.’, according to Russian news agency Ria Novosti.

A spokesman for Elton John did not wish to comment this afternoon.
