Maradona pictured in furious bust-up with photographers after ‘throwing stones and kicking them’

m3Diego Maradona appeared to be involved in a bust-up with photographers covering his arrival in Buenos Aires.

The Argentine legend travelled to the country to meet his three-month-old son Diego Fernando, whom he had with former girlfriend Veronica Ojeda, but was not happy with the attention.

He allegedly threw stones at them to try and get the snappers and news crews to disperse, but when that did not work he appeared to kick out.

Maradona, 52, currently living in Dubai despite being sacked by Al Wasl last year, was with his 22-year-old girlfriend Rocio Oliva.

A photographer told La Red Radio: ‘On the way, in heavy rain, Maradona made the car stop, got out with a Havana cigar in his hand, took some stones from the edge of the highway and started throwing them at reporters’ cars and kicked a photographer’s leg.’

He was also accused of fighting with a passenger who had offered him a diet supplement.

Maradona’s spokesman told The Sun: ‘Diego’s is experiencing some personal problems at the moment and I hope he will soon be able to resolve them in a favorable way.’

10% of Facebook’s users are not human – including Mark Zuckerberg’s dog Beast who has 1.5 MILLION followers

f3Dogs, cats, horses, toasters: You name it, it has a Facebook page.

Facebook now has one billion users – but ten per cent of them are not human, according to new research.

At least 100 million of Facebook’s ‘monthly active users’ are pets, brands and companies – and even Facebook founder Mark Zuckeberg’s dog Beast has a page.

According to eMarketer, an internet market research company, only 889.3 million of the one billion users are real people.

Quartz reports that Facebook claims it currently has 1.11 billion users but says that it will not actually reach this number of human users until 2014.

Currently the biggest growth in Facebook use is in India, Brazil, Russia, the Middle East and Africa.

Each of these regions is expected to see a 30 per cent increase in Facebook members this year.

In contrast, the U.S., UK and Western Europe are seeing a much slower growth in Facebook membership.

However, currently half of the population of the U.S. and the UK actively use Facebook but many of the users are less active than they were in the past.

By 2017, Facebook users will account for 69.5 per cent of social network users worldwide.

Why the Egyptians only had sex in the summer: Researchers find key time for conception was in July and August to coincide with the Nile flooding

Ancient Egyptians primarily had sex in the summer, new research reveals.

The most popular time for love-making was July and August meaning that 20 per cent more babies were born in March and April than in other months.

As a consequence, most deaths among women of childbearing age also occurred in these months.

Archaeologists working at a cemetery in the Dakhleh Oasis in Egypt excavated 765 graves and were able to establish the month of each person’s death because the graves were all pointed towards the rising sun.

Live Science reported that they uncovered the graves of 124 babies that had died 18 to 45 weeks after conception – putting these two pieces of information together enabled the researchers to piece together the most popular time for love-making.

It is thought that in ancient Egypt beliefs about fertility and the Nile flood may have been responsible for the baby booms.

The residents of the Dakhleh Oasis believed that the river was the key to their land’s fertility and the floods occurred during the summer months meaning that there were widespread celebrations.

Rihanna ‘to sue Topshop for £3million’ after fashion chain uses pictures of her on T-shirts without her permission

r1Rihanna is threatening to sue Topshop after claiming they sold T-shirts with her face on it without asking permission.

The superstar’s team is said to have told the high street clothing chain run by billionaire Sir Phillip Green to stop selling them, and is reported to be asking for £3million in compensation at the High Court.

It was even rumoured she might follow in the footsteps of Kate Moss and design a range for Topshop, but the two parties could now face each other in court.

Last year Topshop released a T-shirt featuring a picture of Rihanna from her ‘We Found Love’ music video, which sold out quickly afterwards.

In Britain companies could argue that by buying the image from the

photographer, they do not have to pay licensing fees to the star pictured.

‘Rihanna’s management asked Topshop a number of times to stop selling her image,’ the source said

‘What is most offensive for Rihanna is that they basically told her, “Go to hell. We don’t care”; we are going to continue selling you.

‘Even though the UK laws don’t protect the artist, she has decided to move forward and sue Topshop. She has spent almost $1 million in litigation at this point. She says it’s the principle, and wants to make a statement about it. They are taking advantage of artists. It is just exploitation. What they are doing is wrong.’

France wants ‘decisive sanctions’ against Iran

1Ֆրանսիան ցանկանում է ավելացնել Իրանի դեմ պատժամիջոցների քանակըThe United States and European nations should take “decisive sanctions” against Iran over its controversial nuclear program, French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said Friday.

“Given the inflexibility of Iran’s position, this dual, sanctions-dialogue approach should allow us to increase pressure on Iran in the coming months as the Iranian uranium enrichment program continues to expand in quantity and quality,” Le Drian said.
“More than ever we have a responsibility to defeat this strategy of procrastination and concealment to ensure nuclear non-proliferation,” he added during a talk at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace think tank.
The United Nations and Western nations have imposed a range of sanctions on Iran for several years in an effort to deter Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons under cover of a civilian program to develop nuclear energy.
Le Drian also met the head of the US Senate Armed Services Committee, Carl Levin, during his visit to Washington, where Syrian war was discussed.
Levin, who has urged President Barack Obama to consider pursuing limited military options against the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, later said Le Drian had not dismissed the possibility out of hand.

Conn. commuter trains collide; 60 go to hospitals

2ԱՄՆ-ում բախվել են երկու գնացքներ. կան վիրավորվածներTwo commuter trains serving New York City collided in Connecticut during Friday’s evening rush hour, sending 60 people to the hospital, including five with critical injuries, Gov. Dannel Malloy said.

About 700 people were on board the Metro-North trains when one heading east from New York City’s Grand Central Station to New Haven derailed about 6:10 p.m. just outside Bridgeport, MTA and Bridgeport officials said.
The train was hit by a train heading west from New Haven to Grand Central on an adjacent track, MTA spokesman Aaron Donovan said. Some cars on the second train also derailed as a result of the collision.
Amtrak, which uses the same rails, suspended service indefinitely between New York and Boston.
Investigators Friday night did not know what caused the first train to derail. The National Transportation Safety Board was sending a team to investigate.
The governor said that most people were not seriously hurt. Among those critically injured, he said, one’s injuries were “very critical.”

Muslim religious leaders to visit Auschwitz

3Մուսուլման առաջնորդերը կայցելեն ԱուշվիցFourteen Muslim clerics from across the globe will visit the former Nazi German Auschwitz death camp in southern Poland next week as part of a Holocaust awareness and anti-genocide program, organisers said Friday.

“This is an opportunity for imams who are influential in their communities to look at the Holocaust first hand and to go to Auschwitz, to see what that kind of hatred led to,” Poland’s Chief Rabbi Michael Schudrich told AFP on Friday.
“It’s to make sure that civilisation doesn’t fail again.”
The visiting imams are from Bosnia, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Morocco, Nigeria, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United States.
More than one million people, mostly European Jews, perished at Auschwitz-Birkenau, operated by Nazi Germany in occupied Poland from 1940 until it was liberated by the Soviet Red Army on January 27, 1945.
Among the camp’s other victims were tens of thousands of non-Jewish Poles, Soviet prisoners of war, gypsies, and anti-Nazi resistance fighters from across Europe.
